Utter Excavating

In selling our home in West Milford this past September, we discovered (through the buyer’s inspection) that our septic system had some serious defects, which required replacement of the distribution box and all of the field lateral piping. We looked around for a competent septic repair contractor who could respond quickly, and after several failed attempts to secure such a contractor, thankfully we found Ralph Utter. Even before we had signed an agreement with Ralph, he went to the town to determine what the requirements were for the repair of the system, and whether or not an engineer would be required. When he found that one was necessary, he suggested MAP Engineering, which turned out to be a great recommendation. Through the whole process, Ralph did everything necessary to make sure the work was completed correctly and quickly. Thanks to him, we were able to have our closing as early as possible. He was outstanding!

Ralph handled the conversion of my dad’s septic to sewer hook-up. I had to manage this entirely by text as I am out of state. The job just finished and looks great, however the reason for my taking the time to leave a review was the personable way he dealt with my elderly father.
